Senior Petrophysicist

Tulip Oil is focused on the development and appraisal of oil and gas fields in both The Netherlands and Germany.

Currently we are looking for a Senior Petrophysicist, a role based in The Hague (The Netherlands), where quality local candidates with an experienced pedigree who can join immediately will be given priority.

In this role you will responsible for delivering petrophysical input for data acquisition planning, well planning, subsurface modelling, field development, and supervising drilling and logging operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide petrophysical input for well planning, data acquisition planning and tendering of services
  • Operational petrophysics during live drilling/logging operations: geosteering, Live LWD data interpretation and on-the-fly Petrophysics, working with geoscience team
  • Independently perform subsurface studies such as log analysis and integration with core analysis, regional sedimentological studies, dynamic data, and analog data
  • Responsible for providing petrophysical input for building and maintaining full field static models (Petrel) with the geoscience team and dynamic models with the reservoir engineering team

Requirements

Education and experience:

  • Petroleum Engineering or Geoscience MSc degree (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience
  • Operational experience is a must, North Sea experience preferred.

Technical skills:

  • Experience with drilling and logging operations: data acquisition and logging tools, program design and tendering of services
  • Experienced with Geosteering, Live LWD data interpretation and on-the-fly Petrophysics
  • Advanced log interpretation and core analysis
  • Familiar with the regional oil and gas setting of the Netherlands and onshore Germany

Currently we are looking for a Senior Geoscientist, a full-time role based in The Hague (The Netherlands), where quality local candidates with an experienced pedigree who can join immediately will be given priority.

In this role you will responsible for integrating subsurface data and delivering geoscience input to well planning, drilling operations, field development planning and exploration.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide geoscience input for well planning and data acquisition planning and tendering of services
  • Supervise drilling and logging operations including geosteering, working with Petrophysicist
  • Independently perform subsurface studies such as core analysis and integration with log analysis, regional seismic interpretation, sedimentological studies and analog data
  • Responsible for subsurface data integration at the field level working with petrophysicist and reservoir engineering team
  • Building and maintaining full field static models (Petrel) and interface with the reservoir engineering team for fully integrated dynamic modeling

Requirements

Education and experience:

  • Geoscience MSc degree (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience
  • Operational experience and North Sea experience preferred.

These roles are field based with the objective of gaining practical and essential experience in an operations role with a top producer.
