The PGK field trip to the Ruhrgebiet in Germany.

PGK announces its 2017 fall excursion to the German Carboniferous in the Ruhrgebiet. The main foci of the field trip are the geological evolution of the Carboniferous source and reservoir rocks as well as their exploitation and the cultural heritage related to the century long mining history.

12:30 Lunch at Zeche Nachtigall
18:30 Arrival to Hotel Acora, Bochum
19:30 Dinner at Paulaner Botschaft

8:30 – 17:00 Visit geological garden and Carboniferous outcrops
